Sunday

Mutton Bustin' at the Spokane County Fair

We had a great time at the Spokane County Fair with some friends who were very patient with our family. Noah and Micah were old enough to do some things their kids weren't, and they were more than willing to wait and watch.

The whole Mutton Bustin' had nothing to do with me, and everything to do with Noah and John. We payed $10 to have our kid perhaps get trampled by a sheep. But because of motivation to win a 4-wheeler, Noah persuaded his Dad to give it a try. Both of us were afraid we would pay the $10 and then Noah would back out by the time it was his turn. But as you will see, Noah proved us wrong. He didn't stay on the whole 8 seconds, but John and I were sure proud, and the 3 little girls we were with thought he was pretty cool stuff! I can see why the Cowboys get the girls! Next year I am going to have to teach him how to wave to the crowd after he falls. Oh this so makes me want to go watch 8 Seconds! Such a good movie.

By the way this didn't happen on Sunday, it happened last Saturday, but we needed to post it late.

John! I've tried to get a hold of you a few times by email but no luck. We even tried sending you a Christmas card last year, but it came back to us. So I'm glad you found our blog.

I don't see a way to send you a personal message so the whole world can't see it, but here's my email address so we can keep in touch. We'll have to get together sometime when you move back to Utah. rob.hinckley@gmail.com

That video was great! Noah did awesome, what a tough kid!

And I have been trying to work on the next part of McCoy's story and I am having trouble putting it into words. I am hoping it will come to me soon.
