Blackberry Picking

I don't remember ever having Blackberries until we moved here. But in Orgeon they grow rampently wild. One in each hand in never enough. She was sticking close to dad, because those thorns really hurt! Sometimes Dad had to give the kids a lift to get the blackberries. Those thorns can be vicious. I don't know why she always puts the fruit right by her eyes when I want to take a picture, but she always does. Good buds, but yes I did make them hug! After the bucket is full dad finally lets the kids eat a few. My Kids love Picking Blackberries, But they love eating them evem more. Especially Micah, John and I decided that you can't really get the whole Micah/Blackberry experiance without a video camera. Noah was lucky to get two out of Six. This was the next day, in a different place, but both places are within three blocks of our house. Good find little lady. I am so glad I got this picture. It is almost the perfect picture to discribe her love for blackberries. This doesn't quite show how much blueberries he got on his. He didn't like it, so he took it out, thus... Some purple hands. what a good looking guy! Daddy giving the little guy some raspberries. They don't always make it in her mouth the way they should. I just liked how dirty he was after picking, eating, and spitting out the blueberries. There was definitely a bath later. I do wonder whether this will be our last blackberry season in Oregon. I guess time will tell. Either way I am glad I got these pictures.

Sunday

Crazy Sunday Activities

One of the things we miss most about living in Oregon is not getting to go see family on Sunday. It can get kind of boring aroung here. Deeken usually needs a long nap after church, so John and I try to find fun things to do with the kids. This activity came about because I had Micah and Noah paint my toe nails. Then Noah and I painted Micah's finger nails. We were just trying to show are fine work, but then saw the picture and realized it looked kind of funny. I love the hairy leg look on Noah, don't you?

Saturday

4th Year's Not SO Bad!

John's Fourth year of Medical School hasn't been to bad so far. We have gotten to enjoy lots of half days with him and many weekends. On this day we got to go to the zoo together. Deeken can now sit pretty good in the stroller, but really enjoyed holding on to the bar. We thought it was cute. Noah just looked cute. and sadly the batteries died in my camera, so I don't have any picture to prove that John was actually there, but he was.

Wednesday

Free Family Flicks

Regal Cinemas has Free Family Flick days during the summer. On Tuesday and Wednesdays at 10am they have one G and one PG film for kids to come and see Usually Sierra and I go, so we can tag team it with the kids and babies. Usually everything goes pretty well... Although by the time the movie is over the kids are ready for a little monkeying around On this day, we were particularly lucky to get to have our daddy come with us!

AMY'S are AWESOME!

This is Amy Hone. She is our Relief Society President, and I love her. When John and I moved into our current ward, Micah was just a baby. John and Amy Hone(YES, another John and Amy pair) took to Micah like Bees to honey. They immediatley loved her and soon took a liking to the rest of us too. They have been a huge blessing in our lives, and we are so glad to know them. They treat us just like family. It is nice to feel like we have family close by. I tell Amy all the time I wish she were at the same point in life as me so we could hang out all the time. She is a really good friend, or more like an amazing sister. I love her, and will miss her so much when the time comes for us to leave Oregon.

Updated Blog!

This updated website was brought to you, by the veek/farr babysitter-mom. That is what I am being this morning. Which is great because I get to update "my badly needed to be updated blog." I am watching Sierra's kids for her for a few days this month while she is working. She just got her RN degree and is now starting to work a few days a week. They are such great kids that it really isn't too much work. Sierra and I tend to think of it more as coralling. I really love it when the kids are here because they entertain mine so well. I really only have to keep a close eye on Deeken. The other day Ethan said to Noah, "Is your mom an RN too?" Noah's response was, "No, my mom is nothing." It didn't make me feel to cool! When I told John, he said "you should have told them you are a BA."(which I am not) I figured that no matter what I told them nothing was going to be quite as cool as a Nurse, and telling them what BIS stood for wouldn't have helped. Oh well, I guess for now I am just going to have to be satisfied as being Veek/Farr babysitter-mom, The best job in the world.

Wilbergers BIG news!

Brenley is one of the very BEST things that happend to me when I moved to Oregon. We had such a like intrests and tastes, that it was like meeting an old friend again. She was my first real friend here and I appreicate her so much. I probably didn't appreciate her enough while she was here, and then she moved. She now lives in Montana with her husband Bryce. They moved for a new job for him, which started right away, and threw a huge wrench in my plan of them not be able to move until fourth year was over. However, the Lord knew what he was doing, and with this move came a huge blessing. Brenley and Bryce have been married 5 days more than John and I, and have been trying to have a baby since about the time John and I got pregnant with Noah. We have often thought about how nice it would've been to have kids the same ages. Well, that dream probably won't work out, but a new miracle, has emerged. Bryce and Brenley have been chosen by a birth mother to get her baby boy in December. Many, Many prayers have been offered wanting this very blessing to happen, and we could not be more excited for them. I have already started shopping for the little guy. We love you guys, CONGRATS! If you want to check out her blog, the link is on the sidebar!

Nothing like the Cabin!

This our third ward campout living in Oregon, and may be our last. We have a great time, and each year it is somewhere different. The place we went this year was called Champeog Park. It was such a nice big camground, and the kids had tons of fun with their friends. This is one of the first things the kids found. A big fallen over dead tree. They had a blast climbing on it. Micah was a little apprehensive at first. But added a little sass and seemed to do just fine. Posen' on the tree. Micah, Noah, and Morgan! Attack of the Deeken! He is attacking our amzing babysitter/friend, Katelin Minetto. We love it when she is home from college. She awesome with the kids and helps out whenever she can. Noah was a big helper, bringing lots of stuff to the tent. The bugs emerged on our tents as soon as we got them set up. Here, the kids are having fun trying to get them out of the Veek's tent. This is our awesome bishop with Deeken. This is also his tent. Our family has grown out of our tent, and he said we could use his. It was set up before we even got there. He is a good man. We love our Bishop. He has great offspring too. Katelin, the girl I mentioned before in the blog, is his daughter. Micah with John. Nothing like being a daddies girl! I am pretty sure they were sick of me taking pictures. One of the best things about summer, Watermelon. Sierra and Deeken Another great thing about summer, Marshmellows! I don't think that it is golden brown, so it might not be the perfect marshmellow according to Grandma Hyde, but he like it. Micah loving those Marshmellows! I think he liked his first taste of ROASTED marshmellows, he has been chomping the minis for a few weeks now. Micah and Daddy Sierra, Micah and Emily. He was exhausted. But still hanging in there. He is such a good guy! All sitting on Daddies lap---3 hours past bedtime and lookn' it! "Just right for a Micah Moo!" Her words exactly! Bishopric Breakfast, nummy! says Noah Hot Chocolate, one thing that we can replicate from the cabin! Sitting on the dock at the campground. Morgan and Noah just wasting some time with their feet floating in the water. Micah's legs were a little short, but she still enjoyed it. Again with the backpack! Still a happy guy. They all were pretty happy, till the fartigue set in. The only really bad thing about a ward campout....the sleep deprived aftermath.
