With four days left till we head back to the home we left 5 years ago, we have been in full throttle trying to get ready.
Micah graduated from preschool! They had a fun time where they had the parents come and had them sing all the songs they've learned. We had no idea it was a graduation ceremony. Either we have been really busy or weren't told either way we were just happy we were there. Micah is such a funny duck in the way that she LOVES to sing she belts it out at home, yet at the program her mouth hardly moved at all and good luck trying to get her to do hand motions. We were still proud of her, I just can't believe she will be in Kindergarten!
This is her teacher at the end of the year picnic. Micah really liked Miss Connie. She really was a sweet teacher. She ALWAYS made sure Deeken got a sticker when we came to get Micah, even if he was waiting in the car.
Noah finished up his soccer season. He played last fall and this spring. Last fall was so hard, because I had to take all four kids to Noah's soccer games and practices most of the time by myself(lots of times in rain!). I almost gave up because I couldn't tell if he was really enjoying it. When we lived in Oregon he seemed so much more into it. The coach was like you need to keep this kid going. He could be really good. We thought so to0, and not to say he won't, but I don't know if soccer is his thing. You can tell he really like to be a part of a team. I'm just not sure whether we need to work on his skills or let him try a new sport. Maybe baseball? He likes to play catch. I guess we will see.
The nice thing about this league is that WHEN John was available, he was the assistant coach. He loved getting to do that for Noah, and Noah loved having him do it. Time for that might be a little harder to come by in the future.
After Noah's game, my kids got treated to a Popsicle from the ice cream man. It is one of those things I didn't get to do much as a kid, so I love to do it for my own kids.
Micah was nice enough to share a lick or two with Josie, who surprisingly liked it A LOT!
Deeken plucked this flower from the lovely manicured(the owners take care of it) garden of our home. I was about to get mad at him, then of course he says, "It's for you Mommy!"
Noah got to celebrate his birthday at school since his b-day is June 24th. He LOVED the attention...the attention for his b-day and for his little sister. Everyone wanted to see her, and Noah was happy to oblige.
Speaking of this little cutie. The other day I got busy doing things, and looked around to find Josie. I couldn't find her anywhere downstairs. I was freaking out people...I was looking in the toilet. Only to have Noah say, maybe she is upstairs...and well apparently my daughter can do stairs. LIFE just stepped it up a notch.
Noah go this stitches taken out by the ever wonderful doctor Farr. There was some drama. But after the first one Noah calmed down and actually did pretty well.
On Thursday I asked John if I could sell $100 worth of our un-needed STUFF on Craigslist, could we skip doing a garage sale? He agreed. Well, by Friday afternoon I had sold $104 dollars worth of stuff! Yahoo! BUT we still had a garage sale. We were only supposed to do it from 9 to 11, but by 11 we had only sold $4 worth of stuff. Since we had taken the time to get all the stuff out, we decided that we should just let the stuff sit out there, and kinda of just check on things as we got other stuff done. Meanwhile, John the night before had run into trouble with his car. It wouldn't start. He drove home a residents car who had to work through the night. When he took it back to him in the morning, the resident listened to the car and told John it was the starter. He told him go find anyone who knows something about cars and they'll be able to fix it for ya. So John called some people in our church, including our Bishop. But couldn't get a hold of anyone, so decided to take it to a shop... a shop that quoted us $330 to fix it. Mean while the Bishop showed up at our house, and called John and asked if it was too late to get it back. He went down and helped John pop start it, then proceeded to go by the part, and took John to his house to fix it. Total price to fix(meaning the price of the part) $135. 75(the Bishop didn't charge for his time:). While John was gone, I sold a few more things so that when he got home our total for the last few day was at about $140, just enough to cover the repairs. We realized the Lord had truly blessed us, not just with the exact amount of money we need, but to also with a bishop who was willing to help us! The Bishop also found something else wrong with our car, but he is not a mechanic, so he has recommend someone we can take it to. We feel like that was also a blessing, because it is something wrong with the axle, and if we let it go to much longer we could have huge problems with our car. We talked with our kids about it so they could recognize the blessings also. We then decided to clean up the sale and head to a water pad at the local park. As we were, we had another $40 worth of sales. That was enough to cut the kids in on the earnings, like we promised, and also to pay for my traditional KFC lunch on Memorial Day. I feel like that last $40 was an extensions of the blessings earlier because we recognized God's hand in our life. He is so good to us. We were sure to also pay our tithing on the money we made...which can only bring more blessings! He is so GOOD to us, we are SO blessed.
Speaking of blessings, our house is going great. The brick is done, and stucco is soon to come.
They hung the doors inside. I think they look awesome. I love the trim around them.
They've also been working on the closets and putting in the shelves. Looking good!

I cannot wait to see it. Paint will be on the walls by the time we get there! Only 4 more days...AHHH! 4 Days...I have so much to do. I better get to it!
