A Tradtion Passed On!

It was beginning to feel like fall. It was beginning to look like fall. It was beginning to sound like fall. It was even beginning to smell like fall, but it just didn't taste like fall until.... A woman in our ward gave John a bag of Corn Pops. Not the regular cereal kind of corn pops, but this weird popcorn called corn pops. I have only been able to find it in Bowman's (which is in Utah). My mother makes this absolutely greatcarmel popcorn with it. I made it once for an auction here, because I had brought two bags to Oregon, and they were going to go stale. A lady in the ward said she saw them around every once in a while, andsurprised me by giving one to John when he came home teaching. Here's some fun pictures I snapped after I actually let them taste it. Hey Mom, when I was cooking the carmel, and waiting for the "soft ball" stage to occur(for all my siblings, this is when mom gets cold water and puts some carmel in it...you know what I mean," Micah saw me trying some. She wanted to try some herself. It touched her mouth and the look on her face told me she was hooked. My first thought was, "of course she is, she is my daughter." And apparently I am my mother's daughter. I am so glad we have this awesome tradition. Oh! and Mom, no one makes it like you do! Let me know if I need to bring some for Thanksgiving!

You know that posting those pictures is not fair.
I can taste the carmel now Maybe I can get mom to make some for us if you will bring the pops and the recipe.
I don't understand though a good mother like you could spoil your daughter by giving her candy on a spoon without making her clean the entire bowl.
Oh yes I have a good memory still.

Hey! You guys are really stuffing your faces. And without me! The carmel corn looks soooo gooood! I wish I had been there to eat some. I guess we'll have to try and make some for Thanksgiving. So far I've seen the corn pops in the store where we shop. I don't know if they carry them all the time. I'll keep you posted. Deeken, you are supposed to put it in your mouth.

You are such a cute family! We miss you guys...I used to eat this cereal (if it's what I'm thinking of) when I was a kid and would love the recipe if you can divulge.
