The Getaway

This was the first trip John and I have taken alone since we has Noah. I set it up as a surprise to celebrate his being done with third year. He got a whole weekend to make the change from being a Junior to a Senior in Medical school. It was a very nice night away at a Bed and Breakfast that overlooked the ocean. We just got to spread our wings and fly away. CHEESE! I found this seashell for Micah. I thought it was beautiful. I think she did too, but it still was ruined rather quickly. Pops! John and I thought of you when we saw this Canadian goose on the beach. What is he doing there? Sorry you can't see it well.

Congratulations John! on finishing your third year of school. What a fun way to celebrate. What a short summer break! I've always wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast. I think I would even enjoy talking to the other people we shared breakfast with...if the food was good. I guess it all depends on your age and how long you've been married. I can't believe you are staring your last year of med school. You are almost done! We will especially be praying for you during this first rotation. We know how important it is to you. But we know you well enough to know that you will really impress the doctors you work with. Be sure to have them write some great recommendation letters for you.
Anyway, I'm glad your beach trip was fun. We love these pictures.
