We ended up going trunk-or-treating at our Willey cousins ward. Some of our other cousins came too, and we had a great time.
I like the way these look Black & White with the Sun shining directly on them. It looks kind of like it is being taken with an old fashioned movie camera or something.
Our little scarecrow! (I made the hat last second...without a pattern, are you impressed Haydee?)
Our Good Looking Frankenstein! (He had on glow in the dark green face paint, It just wasn't quite dark enough yet.)
Our Beautiful Princess! (She did not want to get her picture taken--Brett Markham can account for that. She did look great, thanks for the beautiful dress Haydee and Mom.)
I was super glad that John was able to make it. My kids really love it when their dad is around, Mommy tends not to be such a monster!

Carving Pumpkins
Half of these pics were deleted, but I am so happy I have some of them left. The kids had such a good time at Brian and Melissa's carving pumpkins.
They all worked so hard on them.
These two are so cute together. We know if they lived closer, they would be the bestest of buddies. It was so cute, when we went to take my Dad's truck back to them, Brian and Melissa were taking their kids to the Bee Movie. Noah said, "I want to come." And their little boy replied, "Only family can come...Oh wait you are family."
My three little Pumpkins! Their daddy couldn't get home in time to come with us, I thought to myself, so this is what my future holds as the wife of an anesthesiologist! SCARY!

HOME!
John, the kids, and I are in Utah for John to do a rotation in anesthesiology at the U. We like being home, but it does lack a few of the homeyness factors, namely my parents and my bed. I miss both. So since our computer went whack and we didn't bring it with us, I don't know how to put any new pics up. You'll have to wait for those till our trip is over. Until then, enjoy this cool You-tube clip. Dance evolution. The person who forwarded this message to my sister-in-law, who then forwarded it to me, said it looks like my brother Kevin. I know he's got moves, but not like this.

Pelted Pumpkin Picking
Noah's first Kindergarten field trip was too a Pumpkin Patch!
I wanted to come be there for him, and that meant bringing my other two.
I don't mind! That's my life. That's their lives and we love it!
It was beautiful weather until about 10 minutes before we got to the PP. You get to ride in this cool wagon rain or shine, but usually you carry your pumpkin back. Not today, it was raining so hard the driver waited for us.
He IS picking hail of his coat.
I just really dug this pic of Deeken. His awesome hair and the dark clouds in the background.
Micah was so cute trying to help him get his pumpkin in the bag. They struggled for a while.
In the meantime, Micah didn't have a hood so she got drenched. This is her hauling back to the wagon.
They both made it, having good attitudes about the whole thing, even though they don't look like it.
Deeken didn't have a hood either!
All in all we had a great time!

The Pumpkin Patch
Since we moved to Oregon the Pumpkin Patch has been one of my favorite things about the fall. The first year we were here some friends introduced us to this really cool Pumpkin Patch, "Lake View Pumpkin Patch." We loved it and I have looked forward to it every year since. I especially wanted to get some awesome pictures this year because it may be our last. But between technology mishaps and the ever expected uncooperative children, it didn't quite turn out as I expected. OH well, Such is life. Hope you enjoy what I did get.
Such Beautiful kids, but I have really noticed that when I say, "Kids look at me." They think they can fool me by turning their heads but not looking with their eyes. Hey, you take what you can get.

A Tradtion Passed On!
It was beginning to feel like fall. It was beginning to look like fall.
It was beginning to sound like fall. It was even beginning to smell
like fall, but it just didn't taste like fall until....
A woman in our ward gave John a bag of Corn Pops. Not the regular
cereal kind of corn pops, but this weird popcorn called corn pops. I
have only been able to find it in Bowman's (which is in Utah). My
mother makes this absolutely greatcarmel popcorn with it. I made it
once for an auction here, because I had brought two bags to Oregon, and
they were going to go stale. A lady in the ward said she saw them
around every once in a while, andsurprised me by giving one to John when he came home teaching.
Here's some fun pictures I snapped after I actually let them taste it.
Hey Mom, when I was cooking the carmel, and waiting for the "soft ball" stage to occur(for all my siblings, this is when mom gets cold water and puts some carmel
in it...you know what I mean," Micah saw me trying some. She wanted to
try some herself. It touched her mouth and the look on her face told
me she was hooked. My first thought was, "of course she is, she is my
daughter." And apparently I am my mother's daughter. I am so glad we
have this awesome tradition. Oh! and Mom, no one makes it like you do!
Let me know if I need to bring some for Thanksgiving!
