Might as well start here. This silly dog came to us within the first few days we were there. That is a story in and of itself that might as well be told here.
My brother's family dog died on our last trip to California in February. So they had been looking for a new dog since then. When a couple of cute sister pups came up for sale in her town, she asked me to go look at them with her. BIG MISTAKE! They were so adorable and I especially liked the one that would become ours, because she was so calm and shy. I went back to my brother's house and told John about it. We both must have been HIGH on something, because we started to consider it. By lunch time when my brother had a MINUTE to go and look at the dogs(he is a vet) and give his approval, I was starting to doubt my decision. When we were driving there and he was talking about the potty training, and the whining, and the getting up at night to take it out...my eyes started to pop out of my head. I was having serious reservations. But my brother Kevin looked at them both, the lady basically offered us both for the price of one, and we were suddenly in the car with two puppies. My head started spinning a little. Kevin told me they could sell it if we decided we didn't want it. Look at the faces on my children! DO you honestly think we were going to be ale to tare it from their little hands to sell?

So for now, Reese is a part of our family. She really is an excellent puppy, but we are still deciding if we really could be dog people. I have to say it was another huge wake up call when John told me they live 10 to 17 years. WHaT? I just committed myself to raising another baby! I should be having a human baby if I am going to do that! What was I thinking? Honestly I have had some guilt over this!
This dark picture is us at the drive in later that night. We saw Mirror Mirror and the Lorax. My kids have been waiting forever to see the Lorax, but they played it second at the drvie-in. both Dee and Jo fell asleep. I felt bad for them, but by the time it was over it was 1am Utah time!
