Willey's and Farr's

For posterity purposes only!

While these cute boys mom was away, I decided to try to get some photos of them to Thank their mom and dad for letting us store our stuff in their garage while our house was finished being built. When I told their dad to dress them in polos, I had no idea they would be their matching church shirts! Next time I will know to be more specific. But we gave it a shot. To bad the Bees were in full force that day. We were just getting started when Payton(the oldest, but most fragile) got stung. End of pics for them. Re-shoot to come...hopefully minus bees and matching shirts!:)

-.-The Willey's-.-

One of my favorite families in the world!--and its only partially because all of these kids ADORE my youngest two, and it makes life so nice when they are around. We shot these pics at the same time as the other ones, and it was their youngest who was the next to get stung by a bee. But she still did a great job for the few shots we got off. Everyone got freaked out by the second bee stinging and was ready to go. I am sure more pics will appear of this cute family soon, but it was still fun to surprise their mom on her birthday the next day. Love you Heidi!

The Oquirrh Mountain Temple

Mormons build temples because we believe it is part of what can make a family be together forever. We also believe that everyone who has been on this earth deserves a chance to learn of Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to be baptized into his church. When the church builds a new temple, they have what is called an open house, where anyone, member or not, can come and see inside our temples. It is only after it is dedicated that you have to be a worthy member to enter. I think the video at the bottom has a great message for all those who want to know more about our temples.
We had the great privilege of going to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house with our good friends the Veeks. They were passing through on their way back from Oregon. We always have a good time with them no matter the amount of time, but we do hope their next visit can be longer!
The Original Gang!
Three have been added since we all lived in Oregon, but Josie got left home with my parents. Which was nice so both John and I could concentrate on our older kids, and helping them understand some of the temple ordinances.
It was a great experience. It was only my second temple open house. My favorite part was getting to be there with my kids. It made me excited for when Noah is 12 and he can go do baptisms for the dead. Who knows, maybe these two will get married here some day and start their own eternal family;) I love my family so much, and am so grateful for the blessings of the temple.

A New Family!

We are so happy for John's sister Anne Maire and her new husband Danny. We wish you all the love in the world, and know "you got it right this time around." We LOVE you!

A LIttle Flavor!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cute family! They have had their share of trails. Ones I would never want to encounter...I think my sister-in-law Haydee is a woman of great strength. She keeps forging ahead. She doesn't take crap from anyone(except my brother). She is very good at being who she is, feeling comfortable with it, liking herself, and if you don't like her the way she is, tough! She is a good hard worker...she will knit you a hat at a moments notice, or make you beautiful dresses for your daugthers. Her heart is so giving. Her devotion to her daughters is inspiring. I love you Haydee! Thank you for being my sister-in-LOVE.

Next time I hope we find time to take the pics we would both LOVE you to have. For now, I hope these will do(I am so not good at extremely poised photography)...Miss ya, Love ya.

My Kinda People!

By all means, let me start with the preface, I am imperfect. I have this way about me, that my father-in-law LOVES (thank goodness someone does), but I hate. I tend to ask the unwanted or shouldn't be asked questions, or I say things that normal people wouldn't say. John says I'm naive...most people would probably chalk it up to bad manners. I never mean to hurt anyone, but often times I am afraid I do. This is one of the reasons I love this family, or more specifically their mother. Debbie is one of thee best people I know. I know I have many faults, (not just the one listed above), but since she has known me, since I was 16, she has over looked so many of those faults. She does it for the rest of my family too. Does she see the imperfections? Oh boy, who could miss them. Do they bug her? Heck ya...a lot sometimes. Above all her motto is "were family." She makes you feel like even if she could have hand picked her family, you are exactly who she would have chosen. She would do anything for anyone of us. I am so thankful for her. I need to be more like her, and probably need to be surrounded by people like her, since I have so many faults, but for right now, I am just so happy I have her.

It was a pleasure to take her(and my brothers) kids pics(even in 101 degree weather).

If only they lived closer to each other!
We LOVE you SO much! You were missed the SECOND you left!

My Brother the tease!

My brother may not always like me, but he is sure fun for my kids to have around. They love to get teased by him. D is such a good sport!

Saturday

We Do EXSIST!

First of all

WE OWN A HOME!

and we live in it!

well, partially anyway. The last few weeks since we have moved in, we have slept at our home, but not really lived in it. Since all but one of my siblings live outside of Utah, they all came to see my parents for a while this summer. We don't get to see them often, so we have put a majority of our house organizing off till after they had left. Which is right... about... now. I miss them already, but am ready for some organization and normalcy in my life.

I know I have a few "FANS" waiting to see pics of my house, but that might take a few more days, until then here is what we have been up to.

NOAH turned 7

WHEEEE!

(I LOVE Micah in this picture)

This is my brothers Dog. I am not that crazy!

We got to see this awesome family, the Willey's. Matt was John's best man, and we always enjoy being around him and his cute family. We wish him luck as he goes back out to serve his country at the end of August. Our prayers will be with them.

My Cute friend from Portland, Melissa was in town and we got to spend some time with her and her girls! What fun! I loved catching up on everything in our old Oregon Ward.

My brother Brian's family had a cute little addition that they named Hudson.

We spent lots of time with these cuties and wish we could every day...or at least every other day. (that goes for Maria and Sofia too.)

Miss ya DEB!

and last but certainly not least, we watched a beautiful family be made. Yesterday John's sister Anne Marie married Danny Kennison. We are soooo very happy for them.

and now for all those who waited so patiently here are a few pics...

This is how the outside turned out.

Our fireplace. There was some drama(just ask Mark and Joanne) with this, but I ended up really liking it.

So that is all for know. I'll write more often and hopefully more in depth in the future!
